About the position:
The successful candidate for Account Executive will develop new business selling smart building and energy management solutions into new accounts, while managing and growing existing client accounts by diversifying services.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success, including:
- Demonstrated success initiating / developing consultative relationships with new and existing clients.
- Effectiveness serving as the single point of contact for clients throughout the sales process and during the ongoing client relationship, working with clients to identify services opportunities, and guiding customers through the project financing and contracting processes involved in these services.
- Identifying “Smart Building” service and solution opportunities, responding to formal (RFP, RFQ) and informal opportunities to reach and engage clients, and leveraging resources of local, state, federal and private energy savings programs, especially
- Generating leads, tracking sales, creating proposals and delivery of client services; creating and maintaining business and sales forecasts and delivering targeted financial results.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The successful candidates will have a proven track record performing the responsibilities above and possess the following requirements:
- Four year Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Engineering, Communications, Government Affairs, Construction Management, Environmental Science, etc.
- 5 to 15 years successful experience selling technical building solutions, preferably one or more of the following: Enterprise Energy Management, Smart Building and/or Smart Grid Solutions
- Demonstrated understanding of Facility Management, Performance Contracting, Business Metrics e.g. IRR, Payback, ROI, etc. and Financial models, including financing options and incentives, utility rebates, contractual negotiations and procurement processes.
- Software proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required; working knowledge of SharePoint , CMMS and CRM strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to create budgets, accurately forecast revenue and manage to stated budgets
- Demonstrated proficiency in speaking in front of others, giving presentations to groups at varying levels of experience, including ability to effectively communicate technical subject matter to a variety of audiences. Ability and willingness to travel the region as needed.)
