About the opportunity: The Boland Group is a retained search firm specializing in recruiting
mission critical positions for companies in energy intensive industries. We’ve been engaged by the VP of a very
profitable, steadily growing Global
Controls and Energy Services firm headquartered in Europe to help build out their global presence. Our
client enjoys an enviable reputation as the innovator in the “smart energy
controls” space. This is a ground floor leadership position that
will provide a career-defining opportunity for the successful candidate. As the first
direct hire in each region, upward potential is limited only by your
ability and motivation.
About the position: We’re looking for a Regional Sales
& Operations Executive -- a seasoned
exec with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities in the Building
Management Systems (BMS) / Building Automation Systems (BAS) space. Key to
success in this role is your proven track record operating/running a building
controls dealer network, on a regional or even national level. If you have successfully run a region for one of the other major players in the space (e.g. Siemens Building Technologies, Honeywell,
Trane, Johnson Controls, ABB, etc.), we want to hear from you!
Key expectations / responsibilities include ·
driving sales through both new and
existing distribution channels, including the development and management of 1)
a regional sales and technical support
network in the region, and 2)
ultimately a strong distribution network
throughout the region ·
Developing high brand recognition with key
stakeholders in the BMS/BAS community ·
Driving market needs and requirements back
through product development ·
You can be based anywhere in the region,
with a preference for proximity to the airport ·
Obviously, ability to travel the region is
integral to your success.
Bring your best #2 with you. We’re also
recruiting the first Technical Sales
Engineer (Applications Engineer) who also has grown up in this space. This first engineering hire would initially act
as the technical service point of contact for our client’s existing customer
base in the region, and also for any new customers that would come onboard. So you will be able to bring your most trusted
technical partner with you from day one.
