Please note: We are also recruiting electrical engineers with data center or critical facilities experience.

About the position: If you have the following qualifications and a proven track record of  experience performing the following responsibilities, we would like to hear from you: 

·         a BSME and a PE or EIT or equivalent experience

·         5-35 years experience in mission critical facility engineering gained while working for an MEP firm or A/E firm, including the following:

    • Performing the mechanical engineering discipline on critical facilities projects, including HVAC systems design for data centers or similar mission critical building e.g. precision air conditioning systems, CRACs, CRAHs, chillers, air handlers, desiccant systems, de-humidifiers and humidifiers, etc.
    • Reviewing mecahnical designs, and performing site reviews and inspections
    • Preparing feasibility reports, mechanical specs and bid documents
    • Interfacing with clients/contractors

·         Proficient user of MS Office

·         Ability to travel approximately 20%

·         Currently living in the Atlanta area or willing to relocate with financial assistance

Preferred: Professionals who meet all of the above criteria and one or more of the following will receive preference. 

·          Critical facilities or data center design and engineering leadership experience – e.g. not just performing but leading the mechanical engineering discipline on critical facilities projects

·         Masters in ME and/or  LEED AP

·         Not only a Licensed Mechanical Engineer, but an established NCEES record is preferred

Target Profile: Successful candidate is likely to be attracted to a company that 1) rewards performance, 2) encourages proactive career planning and professional development, and 3) provides the opportunity for all employees to become an owner.  Candidates are likely to have gained their relevant experience working for the mission critical / specialty practices of national firms such as HP Critical Facilities (alum of EYP Mission Critical Facilities), AKF Engineers, Bala Consulting and Engineering, Black and Veatch, Cosentini Engineering, CSI Engineering, Kling Stubbins, Skanksa, Syska Hennessy, or Turner Engineering Cosentini,etc., as well as local firms such as AHA Consulting Engineers, Barnett Consulting, Brady and Anglin, Griffith Engineering, Jordan and Skala, Kajima Building & Design Group, Khafra Engineering Consultants, Morrison Hershfield, Pond & Co, Newcomb & Boyd, TENG in Atlanta.
